
Most users will find it difficult to open a SharePoint list on their mobile device, and ‘zoom in’ on the Panel form and perform their needed actions using touch. We recommend to our clients to use a Canvas Power App when designing for mobile devices for this reason. The Panel style form means that viewing the form on a mobile device may be unfriendly. the default 1/3 in ‘Portrait’ orientation. It is important to note that selecting the ‘Landscape’ orientation as shown in Figure 6 previously will allow the Panel to extend out and fill 2/3 of the screen v.s. This allows the user to open a form, make changes to the item, and navigate between items, all in the same page. This does not mean that you are forced to one type of device, and either layout can be adjusted to fit different screen sizes. The ‘Phone’ option will create a starting screen size that represents a Mobile device. The ‘Tablet’ option will create a starting screen that represents a Desktop screen. These options can be easy to misunderstand. When creating a Canvas Power App you will be asked to choose between the ‘Tablet’ and ‘Phone’ layout options, as shown in Figure 1 below.
